Thomas Ridge, CEO of Ridge Global, Former First Secretary of U.S.Homeland Security, Former Governor

Hon. Thomas Ridge is President and Chief Executive Officer of Washington DC-based Ridge Global LLC, a global strategic consulting company. He has held that position since July 2006. He served as Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security.

He held that position from January 2003 through January 2005, and Assistant to the President for Homeland Security (an Executive Office created by President George W. Bush) from October 2001 through December 2002.

Governor Ridge served as Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from January 1995 through October 2001 and in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 1983 through January 1995. Mr. Ridge has served, and continues to serve, on the boards of several companies including Fortune 500 corporations. Governor Ridge holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Harvard.

Wesley K. Clark, CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, Former NATO Commander, and Educator

General Wesley K. Clark serves as Chairman and CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic consulting firm as well as numerous corporate boards. He serves as a member of the Clinton Global Initiative’s Energy & Climate Change Advisory Board, and ACORE’s Advisory Board.

Wesley retired a four-star general after 38 years in the United States Army. He graduated first in his class at West Point and completed degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University (B.A. and M.A.) as a Rhodes Scholar.

While serving in Vietnam, he commanded an infantry company in combat, where he was severely wounded. U.S. awards include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Defense Distinguished Service Medal (five awards), Silver star, bronze star and purple heart.

Michael Bowman, Founding Member, National Steering Committee Member, “25x’25”

Michael Bowman is a fifth-generation Colorado native, born and raised on the family farm in eastern Colorado. He serves as Chairman of the Board to the National Hemp Association; in 2012 he was selected as a White House ‘Champion of Change’ and is a founding member of the National Steering Committee for “25x’25”.

Michael served as Chair of Colorado’s New Energy Future in 2006 and was co-chair of Governor-elect Bill Ritter’s transition team for energy policy. He was a member of the 2005 Trans-Atlantic Dialogue on Climate Change and was active in Colorado’s “Amendment 37” campaign, the nation’s first citizen-initiated renewable portfolio standard.

Throughout his adult life, Michael has been active in the rural development initiatives both domestically and internationally, serving on the National Council of Advisors for the Heartland Center for Leadership Development in Lincoln, NE and Holistic Management International in Albuquerque where he has participated in a grasslands sustainability project near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Mike is a graduate of the Colorado Agriculture and Rural Leadership program, was a Next Generation Fellow in Columbia University’s American Assembly and a 2008 recipient of Gamma Sigma Delta’s Significant Achievement in Agricultural Award by Colorado State University.
