John Bickel, Founder and CEO of DyneAquaculture
John Bickel, a US Army Lt Col. (ret), and Ranger (Airborne) served in Vietnam in the Special Forces. John is a West Point graduate. Following his service, John became an assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at West Point and has earned two graduate degrees and an MBA .
John’s graduate degrees are in electrical engineering (Georgia Tech) and an MBA (C.W. Post Long Island University, NY).
John has significant executive experience at division and corporate headquarters of both Fortune 500 and start-up companies. Broad areas of expertise encompass virtually all facets of managing an organization, including considerable top and bottom line responsibility (>$300M and $35M respectively). Industry knowledge and experience include: manufacturing (U.S. and Europe), high technology (telecomm), and consumer products both domestic and internationally.
Of particular note was a successful career at Corning where John became responsible for the development of their telecommunications business where, under his leadership, the Corning photonics business (a key enabler to fiber optic communication) grew from nascent beginnings to over $325M.
Colonel Bickel possesses extensive M&A integration experience and is also a turnaround specialist. He holds a TS/SCI security clearance. John has served on numerous boards in both public and private sectors and has also served non-profits as part of his ongoing commitment to the community.
Kevin Purcell, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Kevin Purcell currently serves as our CFO. His prior industry experience includes senior financial positions as CFO, Controller and Director for various public and private companies, as well as a number of years as a management consultant at KPMG.
Peder Hansen, Vice President Project Management
Peder Hansen is a Danish citizen living in the US. Peder has over 25 years of global experience in managing large-scale engineering projects specializing in renewable energy. Peder is well respected as a successful engineer and has a broad portfolio of global international contacts.
David Leis, Vice President, Sales and Customer Relations
David Leis was previously the Chief Technology and Strategy Officer in a wireless and GPS location-based, consumer products company. Prior to this he was the Chief Marketing Officer in an enterprise software and vehicle tracking company in the wireless industry.
His senior management responsibilities included the turn-around of a $150M semiconductor division and skills in manufacturing, engineering, information technology, marketing, sales, and project management.
Gary Amos, Vice President & General Counsel
Gary Amos is an attorney admitted to the Bar in 1984. Gary has an extensive background in legal education, law and technology, and is experienced in corporate law, international law, and international banking. He is a successful certified forensic computer examiner.
Rolf Glerum, Vice President - Agricultural Project Management
Rolf Glerum is the co-founder of the Bruneau Power Group, sustainable agriculture through renewable energy resources. At BPG, Rolf worked on renewable, electrical production and transmission with the Deputy Associate Laboratory Dir. for Argonne National Labs West, Dr. John Sackett.
Rolf has also worked extensively in the wind farm industry over the last decade, achieving significant success in bringing on-demand, renewable energy to agriculture.
Kristen Cooper, Director New Business & Marketing
Kristen Cooper has extensive experience in sales, marketing, analytics and account management with a range of companies from Fortune 500 organizations to start-ups. Kristen has relevant P&L responsibility and experience in the consumer goods and agribusiness sector.
Kristen has the proven tenacity and analytical skills to practically, and successfully, execute business strategy and the creative presence to direct the building of brands.
Jim Marstiller, Vice President Customer Development and Strategy
Jim Marstiller is an experienced global executive who focuses on business development, brand management and strategy. While at Nestle Purina, Jim served in several roles of increasing responsibility in R&D, brand management and U.S. and global customer development.
Jim earned his BS and MS in Food Science and Nutrition (University of Missouri) and his MBA (St. Louis University). Jim is the author of The Power to Innovate: Rewiring the Minds of Organizations and Individuals.
Drew Evan Stewart, VP Sales and Commercial Development
Drew Evan Stewart possesses a successful and distinguished track record in sales and marketing spanning nearly 30 years. After studies in psychology and philosophy at Brookhaven College, in Dallas, Texas, Drew began traveling for the wholesale apparel business.
In recent years, he developed and implemented a licensing division for a popular television series. Mr. Stewart was a REALTOR with Ebby Halliday REALTORS in Dallas, TX, and also raised venture capital for several oil & gas projects in Texas, with both public & private companies.
Before joining Dyne Aquaculture, Drew was Director of Licensing with Global Universal License & Finance Inc. / G.U.L.F.; where he was responsible for the assembly, promotion & team management of multiple projects including aquaculture, hydroponics, and alternative energy applications & solutions.
Bert Means, Vice President of Business Technology
Bert Means received his bachelor of business and Juris Doctorate degrees from Baylor University and Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. Eschewing a career in law, Bert instead became involved in broad areas of business and technology consulting.
Bert is a problem solver who consistently looks for creative solutions to problems within an organization, often looking to technological solutions to augment these efforts.
Michael Keyes, Program Director
Michael Keyes background is primarily in managing large and complex engineering projects. His career spans a variety of areas including startups, manufacturing, and new product development. After a brief stint at Micron Technology, he moved to HP in 1988.
Michael Keyes has been a resident of Idaho since 1986 and serves as a member of his city’s Economic Development Committee. Michael holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University.
Jon Anson, Process Control Engineering Director
Jon Anson is a mechanical engineer, specializing in quality and statistical process control. Jon has more than 30 years of manufacturing experience including disk drives and various wood products. He has performed international procurement, project and program management
Clarke Yearos, Dyne Director, Agriculture
Clarke Yearos has spent a career in various agricultural capacities including production, procurement and marketing. He has worked with large industry processors River Point Farms, Bland Farms, HJ Heinz and Anchor Foods who have benefited from his expertise, and attention to detail.
